How many meetings have you forgotten to record? You join a Zoom call, get into the discussion, and 30 minutes later realize you never hit record. With VoxBee's automatic meeting detection, that problem is solved.
How It Works
VoxBee monitors your Mac's audio system for video call activity. When it detects you've joined a meeting in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, Google Meet, or Webex, it shows a notification offering to record. One click and you're capturing everything — system audio and your microphone.
The detection is smart:
- App-based detection — Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, and Webex are detected by their app activity
- Browser-based detection — Google Meet is detected even when running in Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Arc, or Brave
- 5-second debounce — Avoids false triggers from brief audio events
- Self-exclusion — VoxBee's own dictation doesn't trigger meeting detection
- 30-minute cooldown — After dismissing a detection, the same app won't prompt again for 30 minutes
No Bots, No Cloud
Unlike Otter.ai or Fireflies, VoxBee doesn't send a bot to join your meeting. There's no "VoxBee has joined the call" notification that makes your colleagues uncomfortable. VoxBee captures system audio directly from your Mac's audio system — silently, locally.
Your audio never leaves your device. The transcript is generated on-device using Whisper AI, and the optional AI summary uses your chosen provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or local Ollama).
